The Eternal Light Peace Memorial in Gettysburg commemorates the unity and sacrifice of those involved in the Civil War.

The Eternal Light Peace Memorial stands as a symbol of unity and reconciliation, commemorating the valor and sacrifice of those who fought in the American Civil War. Located in the historic Gettysburg National Military Park in Pennsylvania, this monument was dedicated on July 3, 1938, during the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. The dedication ceremony was attended by over 250,000 people, including veterans from both the Union and Confederate armies, and it was presided over by President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

The memorial is renowned for its eternal flame, which was lit during the dedication and has since served as a lasting tribute to peace and the coming together of a once-divided nation.
