Camping and cottaging in Ontario's Muskoka region is a very popular pass time for people living in Southern Ontario. The province as a whole has over 250 thousand lakes, and it's estimated that around one fifth of the fresh water supply of the entire world can be found in the province. Muskoka is dotted with small towns throughout the region; there are permanent residents of these towns, but many of them generally experience a huge boost in population during the summer months.
This particular cottage is on Peninsula Lake, just outside of Huntsville. I've been going there every June for maybe the past 10 years as of when I'm writing this, and it never disappoints. During the day, we'd swim in the lake, make use of the kayaks, paddleboats, paddleboards, etc, or just hang out on the dock with a few drinks. In the evenings, we'd have fires like this one.
