Description
Trees line the shore of Lake Louise as its glacial waters bask in the bright sunlight, surrounded by the Canadian Rocky Mountains in Banff National Park, Alberta.
Named after Princess Louise Caroline Alberta, the lake's turquoise water comes from rock flour carried into the lake by melt-water from the glaciers that overlook the lake. A popular tourist attraction and likely the most well-known of all the glacial lakes in the national park, it offers a variety of activities in the area including hiking trails, mountain biking, horseback riding, rock climbing, kayaking, and canoeing.
For any nature lover out there, this lake (and the national park in general) is a must see if you're in the area!
