Description
A railway curves to follow the path of the Bow River through a forest nestled within the Canadian Rocky Mountains in Banff National Park, Alberta in the mid-afternoon sun.
This curve even has a name: Morant's Curve, named after Nicholas Morant, the special photographer of the Canadian Pacific Railway from 1929 until 1935, and then again from 1944 until his retirement in 1981. His work was especially influential in promoting tourism in Western Canada and the Canadian Rockies and included many images of the Canadian Pacific's flagship streamliner The Canadian, and this was one of his favourite shooting locations.
