An evil-looking metal sculpture of a fantastical red dragon with glowing red eyes stares menacingly into the camera.
While on a road trip in southeastern Ontario, I passed by a place called Primitive Designs in Port Hope. Ordinarily, I wouldn't give this type of place much more than a glance, but what beckoned me in was a gigantic (probably 20-foot-high) metal sculpture of the robot Optimus Prime from The Transformers. It was a neat place, with all kinds of different sculptures, carvings, wood-works, etc. One of the works was this set of dragons. The original photo isn't really anything more than a vacation snapshot, but I thought it had potential, and this is what became of it.

Hi, everybody! Toronto-based photographer here, having lived in this city all my life. It's a great place if you like large, busy cities, but I prefer smaller places. Anyway, although my education and work experience has been primarily in math and computer programming and similar subjects, my passions lie elsewhere. Don't get me wrong - if there's a particular problem I'm trying to program a solution to or some menial task that I'm trying to automate, my head gets really into it trying to figure it out, but that's just what I do to pay the bills.
