Description
A pile of small rocks sits atop a larger rock in the Ottawa River, as seen from Deux Rivieres just off the Trans Canada Highway.
While driving between Renfrew and North Bay, Ontario, I had passed a few signs saying "Historical Plaque - 2KM" or something similar. They also included a short description of what the plaque represented, but the text was far too small to be able to read as I was driving by at 100 kmph. After seeing some of these, finally I decided that I'd pull over at the next one to check it out. This was taken at one of those stops. I don't remember what the significance of this area was, according to the plaque, but I did enjoy the scenery and the beautiful sunny day. Plus, it gave me a bit of a break from driving.
