Artist's Description
A statue of people holding a globe and horses splashing in the water of the fountain greets visitors to Luxembourg Gardens in Paris, France, with the palace in the distance on a sunny summer day.
These gardens began in 1612 when Marie de Medici, the widow of King Henry IV, constructed the Luxembourg Palace as her new residence. Today, the gardens are a popular spot for tourists and French locals to enjoy on a beautiful day such as this one.

Hi, everybody! Toronto-based photographer here, having lived in this city all my life. It's a great place if you like large, busy cities, but I prefer smaller places. Anyway, although my education and work experience has been primarily in math and computer programming and similar subjects, my passions lie elsewhere. Don't get me wrong - if there's a particular problem I'm trying to program a solution to or some menial task that I'm trying to automate, my head gets really into it trying to figure it out, but that's just what I do to pay the bills.
