Looking up at the underside of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, France on a bright sunny day.
This was taken during a September 2019 trip to Paris. I had seen pictures of this, of course, but pictures really don't do it justice. It's an incredible monument, built to commemorate the liberation of Paris from the Nazis during WWII. The view from the top is beautiful, but one thing I really enjoyed watching was the traffic in the traffic circle surrounding the monument. Being from Canada where we have very few of those, I found it baffling how people driving through them can do it without hitting anyone else.
