Description
A small waterfall flows over some rocks in the late sunset, with a lush forest in the background, in Etienne Brule Park in Toronto (Etobicoke), Ontario.
Located in the Humber River valley, the park is named after Étienne Brûlé, an early French explorer in the Toronto area. It is believed that Brûlé was the first European to see Lake Ontario in 1615, from a high point of land beside the Humber.
The park contains hiking trails that lead beside the river. One popular activity during the Fall season is for people to gather and watch the salmon swim upstream to spawn, trying to surpass obstacles such as this waterfall.
